Duke Equity Partners announced today that they are picking up a stake in Visesh Infotecnics Limited, a leading Information Technology firm based in New Delhi, India. California-based, Duke Special Situations Fund, L.P. has applied for 1 million equity shares of Visesh Infotecnics Ltd. at a price of Rs. 32.00 each (including a premium of Rs. 22.00) on a Preferential Basis.
Commenting on the development, CEO, MD and CEO of Visesh Infotecnics Ltd. said, "Duke Equity Partners has a unique blend of new and old economy investors. Through their equity participation in Visesh we hope to leverage their financial and business expertise as we expand our business to address companies based out of the United States and Europe. We welcome this investment from Duke Equity Partners through the Duke Special Situations Fund, L.P. and view it as a reinforcement of the strengths we have built up over a period of time at Visesh. This investment from Duke is in line with our commitment to deliver long term shareholder value and is a watershed as far as FII and Institutional investments into Visesh are concerned".
Visesh's proven expertise of almost two decades in ERP through its software packages and track record of successful implementations makes it ready to address a larger global market. Its recent forays in newer markets like Thailand with successful handling of large software contracts are being closely watched by the industry and have won it recognition at a National level, as the Best Project Deployment by an Indian Company. Visesh has also diversified its presence into the high technology area of Mobile Telematics recently, with its launch of TransXS and is expected to become a major player in this nascent field.
