Let's talk a little about the firm Visesh Infotecnics Ltd. Basically; the company has its history in software application development.
Infotecnics and Visesh were two independent entities. In 2003, both the companies got merged, and hence the birth of Visesh Infotecnics Ltd took place. Infotecnics was headed by CEO and had the business line around software application development, as well as networking. On the other hand, Visesh was an ERP firm. A rational expediency led to the merger of the two firms.
Focus ERP
India is seeing a rapid growth in industrialization, and all the processes within it are turning tech savvy. Services sector including (BFSI), has got appetite for InfoTech solutions.
At his juncture, the relevance of an application like ERP has increased. There are millions of SMBs in the country that are turning as smart recipient of enterprise application like ERP.
Over years, numerous Indian software firms, diverged into developing packaged software.
It had been a lament that the Indian software firms could not come with products (except handfuls like i-Flex, Polaris, Finacle and some others)
But, gradually, many Indian software firms started working on packaged software.
Application like ERP itself has undergone lot many internal adjustments and mutations. It used to cost crores of rupees taking tedious months for their implementation. That the tough price and long implementation period always created a horrific aura around it.
That now, a slew of Indian software firms have come out with "ERP-like" packages with features sufficient to handle the work of an SMB.
Most of the modules that a full-fledged ERP contains are present (with lean features).
Such is the company called Visesh Infotecnics Ltd.
The company has got ERP packages: one for auto ancillary manufacturing, the other for cross industry utility.
But, the package, Visesh is ecstatic about is its" Power Pro", an ERP for SMBs.
"We have worked very hard in the development of this product. Our R&D team based in Bangalore has infused great intelligence into this product.
This package hardly takes an implementation period of three weeks", said he.
"The cost we have kept for this package is extremely prudent for our SMB fraternity. This is just Rs 2.25 lakhs," said CEO.
The company is getting a good number of queries for the product and is planning to appoint a good set of implementation partners.
"We are looking for partners who could work on this package. I tell you this product is competent enough to handle all the functionalities of a normal ERP. We expect this serves the Indian SMB set up," says CEO.
The company achieved revenue of Rs 42 crore in 2002-03. Visesh expects to see its revenues shoot up by the contribution of Power Pro.
The firm is also trying to market its Power Pro ackage in the markets of Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. "We are also looking for partners for these foreign markets. We participated at India Soft 2004 recently held in Delhi. Our company got very encouraging query and orders for the package from many foreign customers. We hope, the product does extremely well in foreign markets," said CEO.
The company follows a strategy of providing complete solution to an SMB customer. "We provide total networking solution including switches and routers. We are strengthening our alliances with Cisco, and 3Com. With Cisco, we have been working for a long time. "This is quite possible that we also tie up with "Allied Telesysn" as a networking partner", said he.
"I feel our customer should not get piecemeal IT solution. We have everything in our kitty to help them out", said he.
