Visesh's IT Infrastructure expertise grows further; focus on network storage centric projects
New Delhi, April, 2005:
Fewer IT companies show the kind of resilience and capability to hit the international financial markets. Within two years period, the merged entity in Delhi-based Visesh Infotecnics (headed by CEO), has roped in world's frontline investors in Duke Special Situations Fund LP and IndiaCo. Certainly Visesh Infotecnic's all round IT capability in hardware (IT infrastructure development); software services & product development (especially ERPs); web based technologies and satellite-based advanced Telematics must have mesmerized the clientele the world over.

Digital Edge' sensed a long back the
Approaching sparkling phase in the
corporate life of Visesh Infotecnics.
There are certain ingredients
instrumental in making a simple
looking endeavour into a grand
vista of accomplishments and grandeur.
When one is imbued with the desire to
excel, sky is the limit.

Visesh Infotecnics got a similar perfectionist and a man ready to burn midnight oil. the CEO of Visesh Infotecnics Ltd, and a proven corporate warrior.

The aspiration to do things more innovatively and courage to venture into some of the niche technology areas made Visesh Infotecnics an intensely watch company in the country. Visesh Infotecnics is not a Wipro, or an Infosys or a HCL, or a Ramco but the determination and self-belief make many big IT corporate houses look dwarfed.

Today, the company follows a strategy of providing extended IT solutions to any customer whether it is software services; software product development (say ERP); creating complex networking infrastructure (wired/ wireless); web based technology and services or advanced Telematics. Mind you Visesh Infotecnics is one of a few Indian companies that has come out with ERP packages that compete with best of the breed enterprise applications in the world. The product development capability has truly made Visesh Infotecnics an entity of great interest for the corporate world.

Watch out Visesh Infotecnics: Registers 160% spurt in earnings

This is a party time. The highly capable Visesh Infotecnics has brought joy for its latest investors in California-based Duke Special Situations Fund L.P and IndiaCo, a private equity investment firm based out of Pune (Not to talk about scores of general investors on the bourses of the National Stock Exchange and the Mumbai Stock Exchange). The company has announced impressive results for the Quarter ending March 2005. Its revenues for the said quarter climbed by 63 per cent over the previous quarter to Rs 133.16 million. Its net earnings were up by a whooping 160 per cent to Rs 11.13 million over last quarter's earnings of Rs 4.27 million. Just last month Visesh Infotecnics got the investments from Duke Special Situations Fund L.P and IndiaCo. To the amazement of these two investors the results are mind-boggling. “Our recent investment in Visesh Infotecnics was made after a thorough due-diligence of its products, clientele and business model. However, their recent earnings announcements managed to pleasantly surprise us as we did not expect earnings to increase by over 100 per cent in the just concluded quarter”, said Stanton Dodson, Managing Partner, Duke Special Situations Fund L.P.

In India and across South East Asian region, Visesh Infotecnics has also earned a hallmark of being one of the best networking and systems implementation players. In fact, the Government of Thailand awarded Visesh Infotecnics as the best systems / networking company last year. The firm has executed an array of high profile networking projects cutting across sectors like BFSI, manufacturing companies, oil companies, Govt. departments, and department of Defense, Government of India.

For the sake of convenience Visesh Infotecnics has divided its techno-business expertise in segments like, InfraServe; InfraSurf; InfraSale; TransXS; BusinessPro; BusinessSoft; PowERPro; StepOne; Lapps Biz, and Signdomains.com.

Master of hardware implementation
Visesh Infotecnics has an extended capability in evaluating, designing and creating world-class IT infrastructure. Interacting with 'Digital Edge', CEO said, "My long stint with Cisco has empowered me a lot grasping the niceties of networking; both wired and wireless". 'Digital Edge' has learnt that CEO spearheaded some of the big software services and product projects in many geographies of the world. Naturally, a sound understanding of software makes the networking skills further sharp. CEO own hands-on experience has benefited his highly talented team comprising hundreds of professionals and engineers.

In recent times, InfraServe, the onsite infrastructure implementation entity (within Visesh Infotecnics) has greatly expanded its operational expanse. Today, InfraServe offers highly intelligent and eclectic networking infrastructure.

"The company sets up IT infrastructure for its clientele cost effectively (with post implementation support and service). We don't believe in one time relationship. At Visesh Infotecnics, we cultivate relationship that works on enduring basis", said CEO. The firm works with vendors like HP, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Acer, Epson, APC, Cisco, Nortel, 3com, Xircom, Avaya, RAD, Pro link Lucent Technologies, Novell, Oracle, Microsoft, and Veritas. "We provide end-to-end infrastructure solutions and can incorporate desk tops, workstations, severs, network storage (SAN/NAS) and other IT peripherals. On the networking side of infrastructure we can integrate seamlessly heavy-duty routers, and switches. In the areas of wireless networking and broadband, we have extra capability", said he.

But, the company is very much excited about the growing market demand of network storage (SAN/NAS/CAS) from customers cutting across verticals. "We are getting very warm response and getting queries from our present and potential customers for network storage centric infrastructure. We provide composite network storage solutions from IBM, and HP depending upon the demand of customers. We work closely with Veritas as well", said CEO.

Over period of time, the company has got hundreds of customers in the Infrastructure category. In the segment of telecom. Visesh has got projects with Hutch; Bharti; Reliance Infocomm; Tata Teleservices; On the other hand Visesh has got BFSI customers of the ilk of HSBC; Delhi Stock Exchange; Citibank, SBI, and the Department of Revenue, Government of Thailand. The company has also accomplished projects (mainly for ERP implementation) with T-Series, and Rico Auto Industry.

Mind you some of the projects were of really big values in monetary terms as well like Bharti (Rs 20 crore); Hutch (Rs 30 crore) Ford Motors (Rs 2.25 crore); Spectranet (Rs 2 crore). In a way, Visesh Infotecnics is fully geared to tap the rapidly emerging market for infrastructure. It is to reminded that IDC has come out with a report citing an upsurge in IT spend (11 per cent in 2004-05). At the same time, Visesh is equally charged with the desire to expand its operations in India and abroad (this time US and Europe).
